Bale Art on the Family Farm

I was back on the family farm in East Sussex for a couple of days this week helping with the bale cart backlog and preparing for harvest – so swapping e-mails for bales I got stuck in and managed to create my first time lapse video and rescued a family of triplets to boot…

The moment of conception – one of our Hereford cows was bulling so we had a visit from the AI man…

And finally a good news sheep story – whilst moving an electric fence I heard loud squelching sounds coming from a nearby gully – peering over the edge I locked eyes with a rather subdued and muddy family of triplets who had clearly become well and truly stuck.

Carefully negotiating my way down into the gully I managed to extricate the ewe and her three lambs re-uniting them with the rest of the flock…
